Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead

The game "20 questions" in the movie "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead" is used to show the viewer how much the two characters are confused. They do not know their own names; they do not know why they are in Denmark. The two do not remember why they were sent to Elsinore; they know they were sent for, but not what they were sent for. So when R & G keep playing the game it implies that they do not know whats going on and why it is going on. While playing the game one of the characters (Guildenstern...or Rosencrantz...) ask the question "What in God's name is going on?", as I was watching it I thought that question was not said for just the part of the game but to imply that they really do not know what on earth is happening. Also, in Postmodernism there is no such thing as truth, so asking questions and waiting for answers is ironic in this scenario.
